A plethora of Herbalife nutrition clubs have popped up on Milwaukee Avenue.


I saw the first one some time over the summer in the building at the southeast corner of Diversey and Milwaukee Avenues with a Diversey Avenue entrance.  Fair enough.

But in the past month, another has popped up at 2641 N. Milwaukee Avenue.

While I’ve covered a variety of store comings and goings and vacancies along Milwaukee Avenue, as Logan Square artist and one of the festival organizers, Victor Montañez, says, “We do  not need to look beyond our community to reinvent our economy,” and this year’s bigger, better Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival should put that idea to the test.

“Best of” in Logan Square

Logan Square represents “Best of Chicago 2009″

Kudos! are once again in order for some notable Logan Square businesses honored by the Chicago Reader (see Windy City Links in right column) and its readers as the “Best of Chicago 2009.”

Last year’s “Best of” in Logan Square represented more conventional categories like Best Florist, Best Barbeque and Best Restaurant.

This year Logan Square shines in some quirkier classifications.
