14th District Haunted House:  The police get a sense of horror humor Thursday – Saturday, October 28-30, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., and Sunday, October 31, from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at 14th District Police Station, 2150 N. California Ave.   

Weegee’s Pumpkin Carving:  Fun with alcohol and knives Thursday, October 28,  from 5:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. at Weegee’s Lounge, 3659 W. Armitage Ave.

Musical of the Living Dead:  A zombie comedy musical, Thursday – Sunday, October 28-31, 7:30 p.m. at The Charnel House.

Logan Square Halloween Parade:  Children’s costume parade Friday, October 29, 5:30 p.m. at the Logan Square monument; noisemakers of all kinds encouraged!

Longman & Eagle Pumpkin Carving:  Hot cider, hot chocolate, sweet treats Saturday, October 30, from 12:00 – 8:00 p.m. outside in the backspace at Longman & Eagle; cash is king dead presidents dominate.

Logan Square Kitchen Halloween Pastry Market:  Haunting treats from small-batch pastry artisans Saturday – Sunday, October 30-31, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Logan Square Kitchen; RSVP requested.

Luma’s Corner:  Lula Café dresses up as Kuma’s Corner gone indie rock for one night only Saturday, October 30, from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m. at Lula Café; be prepared to wait for a table, just like Kuma’s.

Saki Seance: Communicate with the spirits of the Fox sisters Saturday, October 30, from 7:00 – 11:30 p.m. at Saki; BYOB.

Glow in the Dark Halloween Button Party:  Busy Beaver Button Co. presents an all ages show Saturday, October 30, 7:00 p.m. at Ronny’s Pancho’s.

Trick or Treating:  The ultimate Halloween tradition and the certain makings of a sugar rush (and subsequent crash) Sunday, October 31, from late afternoon-ish to evening-ish on Milwaukee Avenue, Logan Boulevard, Bernard Street and other prime spots.
