Logan Square is ready for its close-up

Last fall I wrote about Logan Square at the Chicago International Film Festival.  This spring–tomorrow actually–Logan Square, via the movie Go For It!, premieres nationwide.

The movie is a story about a girl from Logan Square (catch the monument in the trailer above) and the pursuit of her dreams.  Recently, Logan Square native Carmen Marron, talked about the inspiration behind the film and what it took to get it made.

Unless you’re one of the lucky Roberto Clemente High School students that get their own premiere (and it’s only fitting that they won the promotional contest since one of their graduates contributed music for the film), Go For It! premieres tomorrow with an early (midnight) showing in Evanston.  In Chicago it’s showing downtown at AMC River East 21.  And who knows? maybe it will come to the Logan Square Theater as a second run.
